It’s an early start as your trusted Cheeky Monkey driver picks you up from your accommodation. Once you arrive at the foot of Mount Batur you’ll hop onto a 4WD Jeep, guided by an experienced Jeep driver and guide. Brace yourself for an epic sunrise peeking over the fluffy clouds and majestic sights of Lake Batur and Mount Abang.
Once the sun is up and shining, keep the adventure alive by checking out the huge field of wild black lava resting at the foot of the mountain, a spooky leftover terrain from a 1963 volcanic erruption. So, get ready for sunrise goodness and post-sunrise exploring in one cool package with Cheeky Monkey Bali Tours.

From Ubud or Sanur: 3:30am.

Itinerary:
2:30am – 3:30am: Pick-up from your accommodation.
4:45am: Arrival in Kintamani, meet your Jeep driver and start the ride.
5:45am: Arrival at Mount Batur sunrise point.
6:15am: Sunrise and breakfast.
7:00am: Jeep ride through the Kintamani lava field.
8:00am: Tour ends, return to starting point.
10:00am – 12:30pm: Drop-off back at your accommodation.

A minimum of 2 people per booking is required.
Minimum age is 6 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This tour is not suitable for pregnant women.
Please bring sturdy closed shoes, a jacket, sunscreen, and your phone or camera.
The Mount Batur peak sits at 1,717m (5,633ft), and it can get a little cold (around 14°C / 57°F) before sunset, so you may want to wear a jacket before it gets warmer.
To warm up after the tour, you can add an optional soak in Mount Batur’s natural hot springs (please see additional charges below).
